The Pictas Magazine
Editorial Design for International Photography Collective
The Pictas Magazine emerged from an international photography and artist community active between 2020 and 2022. Although the collective itself no longer exists, the three digital magazines produced during this period remain as a testament to its collaborative energy and its commitment to sharing diverse photographic voices across borders.
Each issue brings together work from both emerging artists and internationally recognised photographers, including figures such as Raghu Rai, Daniel Kordan and Harald Göbl. The magazines were conceived as open, inclusive publications where different approaches to image‑making could meet.
My role was to design and produce all three editions, shaping their visual identity, editorial structure, and narrative flow.
The aim was to create publications that felt cohesive while still giving space to the individuality of each contributor. Through layout, rhythm, and typographic clarity, the design supports the images and allows them to unfold in a way that is both accessible and visually engaging.
Together, these magazines form a record of a creative moment defined by generosity, curiosity, and shared exploration, a platform where many voices could be seen, and where design played a central role in bringing them together.
